Live In Kokomo
If you have visited Living In Kokomo in the past, you're probably wondering why I haven't posted anything here in a while. Well, the reason is...
This site is moving!
A while back I decided I wanted to try to combine this site with my other site, At Home In Kokomo.
As I tried different things using this TypePad platform, I couldn't do what I wanted to do. I didn't know whether the problem was the platform or my "lack" of skills. I eventually hired a consultant to help me sort through the everything and help me decide my next step.
Ultimately I came to the conclusion I needed to move to the WordPress platform.
Since mid-February I have been trying to get this project off the ground! It has been a challenge! A very steep learning curve - to say the least!
It seems that I'd take one or two baby-steps forward and then go backwards a block or two! I had to do some practicing on a "stock" WordPress theme, just to get an idea of how to use WordPress. (If you don't know what a theme is, don't worry. I didn't know what one was a month ago either.)
Then I bought a theme that I thought would be perfect for what I wanted to accomplish. The theme may be perfect, but after a week, I gave up on it! Between my lack of knowledge and the lack of support from the vendor, I used their 30-day return policy to get back my money!
On to theme three - and that is where I've been for the past couple of weeks! I am learning something new everyday. And the support from ithemes is absolutely fantastic - even for a newbie like me!
Almost everything you find on this site has already been moved over to the new site. There are a lot of things that still need to be done:
The major change will be when you visit LivingInKokomo.com and go directly to the new site!
Hang in there with me during this moving process!
You won't be disappointed!
Here's a sampling of some of the new features:
That's it for now. I just wanted you to know I haven't disappeared! I haven't quit real estate and I haven't been on vacation. Just very busy with "doing" real estate and "doing" website work.
PS - Be sure to visit At Home In Kokomo!
